November 30, 2005 - 12:44 p.m.
So, I haven't written in a while...guess I've just had nothing special to say...nothing worth recording on paper.
Here's a little recap anyway:
I went to see Harry Potter with the fam on the eighteenth. It was good...the special effects were awesome...the story line however was a bit disconnected, but that's how it has to be if they are gonna take long ass, detailed books and make them into movies. But I still liked it...a lot.
Somewhere around the weekend I got sick, think flu-like sick. It sucked. I went to work on Monday and they sent me home. So I had the whole Thanksgiving week off.
Kessie came back on Monday, I was so wicked happy about that. We went to City Dock and basically just hung around talking for the night.
Steph got home Tuesday and I skipped my chem lecture so we could all hang out.
Wednesday, the girls and I all got together and went to Chick & Ruth's for "breakfast." It really sucked for serious. First of all none of us were really hungry anyway due to having already eaten so we were all just gonna order fries and shakes. Secondly it took 30 minutes and a request to finally get some service. They took our orders and sat there for another 45 minutes before we walked out. They hadn't even started our shakes yet...it really sucked. It's sad because Chick & Ruth's used to be so amazing. Anyway, Nikki proceded to be a bit bitchy after that and we all went to see Pride & Prejudice with Steph's mommy. It was amazing...a great movie for serious. It's definitely one for the Katie DVD collection and there are few DVD's I deem worthy to buy. It was just really good.
Thanksgiving Day I moved into the Hillman's house for my temporary stay as house/dog sitter while they were out of town. They live downtown and have two beautiful spoiled greyhounds. You had to walk them four times a day on a tight schedule or else they would pee on things. Yeah, whatever, I just enjoyed staying in that beautiful house in walking distance of downtown. Also on this day, due to traditions, my daddy and I went to visit with the family. It was kinda sucky I must say...the food at least. The family part was ok...I haven't seen them in a while so it was good to catch up.
Friday was the best though. Steph came to get me to go the second Thanksgiving with my Mommy and that part of the family. It was a lot better, Craig and Jen even came. It was great...good food and all. The best part thought is that we had an out...Zachy. He "called" a little after dessert and we escaped to downtown and City Dock. We met him in the Cafe and we talked, played a round of cards, and drank coffee. I really missed the Zach...a lot. Anyway, after that we went to the store and blockbuster for fun stuffs. We rented House of Wax which was just dumb...but of course that is why we rented it...for some reason we just really wanted to watch some stupid horror flick. After the movie we walked the dogs and Zachy left and then Steph and I went to bed. It was just an all around exciting night.
Satuday Steph went home and I went downtown. Then later Steph came to pick me up for third Thanksgiving at her house. It was good...really good. If I combine first, second, and third Thanksgivings then I can definitely say that it was a great Thanksgiving.
Sunday i went to church and went back to walk the dogs and move out, but the Hillmans were already back so I just left. I went to the mall to see Jarhead with the fam...it was good...we all loved it. Then I went shopping and bought lots of great stuffs. I'm almost done the Christmas shopping...yeah!

Oh Yea! Wait Just One Moment!
I forgot about the "excitement" on Friday night. At about 8:00 the Candy Factory, Zachary's, and Main St. Ice Cream caught on fire. It started as an electric fire and quickly spread. I used to work at the Candy Factory and I can safely say that I'm really not surprised. They didn't even have a sprinkler system. Zachary's is completely destroyed but the other two cam be salvaged. They speculate that they can have Main St. Ice Cream back up and running by Memorial Day. Oh well, it was interesting though. Steph and I were just strolling down Cornhill St. when I noticed the smoke and as we rounded the corner and saw all the lights from the fire trucks we decided to go check it out. It was insane. It sucks that these things keep happening downtown. Oh well though...moving on.
Now we conclude the recap and move back to the present.
Last night three different things happened of different yet equal emotional bearings.
First
My Grandma had surgery. They suspected her to have lung cancer. They removed the cancerous cyst from her lung and found it to be malignent. They are going to do further tests on it to see if anything else needs to be done. But at least she is all right...that is all that really matters.
Second
Jason called last night...we talked for about two hours. My thoughts and feelings on talking to him are very mixed. Part of me wants nothing more to do with him wants to cut all ties with him but another part feels that maybe it's not such a good idea, that maybe talking about what happened with him will help me come to terms with it. What it boils down to is...when he calls, I'll answer the phone and I'll talk to him but I will put no stock in our phone conversation relationship thingy. All it is and ever will be is talking. Maybe someday we will both be ready to fully let go of eachother but until that time I'm sure I will enjoy the pain of talking to him.
Third
I had the weirdest dream last night. (I'll call him) Fabio and I were dating. It was weird, it just went through the whole cycles of the dating process. It was just really really odd. The even weirder part was that when I woke up I was happy. I guess it's no surprise to me since I've thought for a while now that Fabio and I should have a go at a relationship. But it was still weird and actually kinda nice, I really enjoyed being with him in the dream. Too bad the chances of a real life relationship with him are slim to none for serious. Oh well life moves on as do I.
